A group of six friends - Jack, Kimberly, Lee, Melissa, Nick Olivia - go out to eat at a restaurant. They are seated evenly around a circular table based on the following conditions: Melissa does not sit next to Jack. Jack sits next to Olivia or Nick, but not both of them. Kimberly sits next to Nick. If Olivia sits next to Jack, then she doesn't sit next to Lee. If Jack sits next to Kimberly, then which one of the following pairs of people must be seated next to each other?

A. Lee and Nick
B. Melissa and Nick
C. Jack and Nick
D. Melissa and Melissa
E. Olivia and Kimberly
Explanation: Start off by placing Jack and Kimberly next to each other (J-K). Next, place Nick next to Kimberly (J-K-N) to satisfy condition 3. Condition 2 requires J to be next to O or N, but not both. Since N is two seats away from J (through K), O must be next to J (O-J-K-N). Condition 4 states that if O is next to J, O is NOT next to L. L must be placed next to N (O-J-K-N-L). The last spot is for M, next to O and L (M-O-J-K-N-L). The pairs next to each other are M-O, O-J, J-K, K-N, N-L, L-M. **Lee and Nick** must be seated next to each other.
